These memories will carry you on until you do get to see your son again. So in a sense, you'll never be far from each other, actually, you could't be closer. And by the looks of it, you seem to be developing new relationships (although not always human haha), and I'm sure your son will enjoy those relationships also.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12436541.post-65740200510022049502007-09-25T05:00:00.000-07:002007-09-25T05:00:00.000-07:00My boys are years away from moving out... heck, I ...My boys are years away from moving out... heck, I still have all the teenage years to go through.

Your post made me miss them already.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12436541.post-66957574867494500862007-09-16T08:08:00.000-07:002007-09-16T08:08:00.000-07:00Thank you for your lovely words about me fighting ...Thank you for your lovely words about me fighting off Autumn. I'm glad I found this post, as I see now I'm not alone in my thoughts. We brought our son to UVA in August, although we still have a daughter in high school. But knowing that the nest will soon truly be empty is a little hard to face.

Thank you.Third Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06310395341252295955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12436541.post-24021709747237371492007-09-12T11:12:00.000-07:002007-09-12T11:12:00.000-07:00Lynn~ I mulled over this line in reverse while wri...Lynn~ I mulled over this line in reverse while writing THE SWORD SWALLOWER'S DAUGHTER, looking at myself as a child through my mother's eyes.

Swanny~ Your comment is the perfect postscript to what I wrote.
